Support for Food Pantry

Wesley UMC has done a great job in maintaining its title as the Pancake and Syrup Church, but we have been made aware of other needs of those in Middletown. Therefore, we are looking to donate condiments, small boxes of jiffy mix, and toiletries, such as deodorant, bar soap, and shampoo to the foodbank. We are still going to donate pancakes and syrup, but are expanding the items that will be donated.

Coats Available

Are you or someone you know in need of a coat? Well stop by Wesley’s coat closet to choose a coat at the following times: Mondays – Fridays 10 am through 12:30 pm and Sundays 11:30am through 12 noon.

Threads of Hope Clothing Bank

The sorting of clothes has been underway in preparation for the grand opening our free clothing store. A clothing giveaway has been planned for March 21-22. There is still a chance to get involved with either the open house, serving during the hours of operation, and publicity. So if you feel called to help in any way, please feel free to give us a call at 944-6242 and let us know.

Community Aid Bin

A Community Aid Bin has been placed on our parking lot to receive donations of clothing as part of the “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” outreach. Community Aid is a wonderful local, faith-based nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and families in our area. Community Aid has offered Bethesda Mission the opportunity to raise funds for their ministry by locating clothing bins at churches and businesses. Wesley is providing this site for the bin to help generate clothing and income for Bethesda Mission as our way of supporting the Mission in their care of the poor and homeless.

Praise Band

Praise band is led by Shawn Bias, Praise Band Keyboardist. Band practice is on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. The Praise Band performs contemporary gospel music at the 9:15 am Sunday service.
